The Department of Nursing at Manchester Met is recruiting a work based learning (WBL) tutor, on a full time basis for 2 years fixed term. You will be required to support work across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to support students in completing their practice placements towards qualification as a registered nurse.

WBL tutors are required to both the support and the enhancement of student experience on work based placements, whilst actively participating in departmental activities. The post-holder will be required to build capacity and develop new placements for Nursing students. The post-holder will be required to work closely with a range of academics, practitioners and other professionals across the wider health and social care sector.

You will demonstrate excellent oral and written competencies, interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams. The post-holder should also have considerable knowledge and practice experience of working in nursing. You should have a good first degree in a related subject with relevant experience of supporting students in work-based learning. You must be a qualified and registered nurse on the NMC register.
