About the role

We are looking to recruit a Strategy Manager to working within our Education and Standards Directorate. We’re currently in the process of developing our new five year strategy, and this will be an exciting opportunity to help translate that strategy into the way the directorate works and functions.

The Strategy Manager (Education and Standards) will work the Director of Education and Standards to lead and support the Education and Standards Directorate response to the new NMC strategy. Working to support the operational, financial, performance and risk management of the directorate during the transition to the new strategy including reviewing our approach to how we design and deliver standards.

Over the last three years we have published the new standards for nurses, midwives and nursing associates and we are now looking at our standards for post-registration. This is therefore a fantastic opportunity to help shape and steer the sector, within an ambitious directorate.

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven management and leadership experience
  • Experience of developing and implementing standards
  • Experience of managing and reporting operational risk
  • Experience of quality improvement and change management
  • Experience of managing and improving operational processes and systems to challenging timescales
  • Experience of working with a range of external partners
  • Experience of budget management
