The MSc Advanced Practice (Clinical) at ARU is a well-established programme (including an apprenticeship route) which is recruiting large numbers of students across the Eastern region. Our Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care also offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision includes: BSc Adult Nursing, DipHE Nursing Associate, and RN Apprenticeship. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience. We have internationally excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty. This role is to contribute to the theoretical and practical teaching and assessing of students undertaking the MSc in Advanced Practice (Clinical) programme (apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship versions), and to support the development of students in acquiring the knowledge and skills in relation to the four pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice. In particular, the successful applicant will lead the Advanced Skills in Clinical Assessment module and contribute to the suite of Advanced Non-medical Prescribing programmes provided by the School of Nursing and Midwifery at our Chelmsford Campus acting as an Academic Assessor within the programme.
You’ll have proven clinical experience at an advanced level of clinical practice and hold the V300 in Non-medical Prescribing. The post requires that you have sustained experience in physical assessment and advanced history taking in a clinical area and a good understanding of the current professional agenda and developments in relation to advanced practice. A PGCert in Education would be desirable and you be required to demonstrate effective organisational and strong team working skills with students, academics, service users and carers and practice partners alike.
