London South Bank University has delivered highly regarded Non Medical Prescribing education since 2004. The recent expansion of Independent Prescribing for health professionals draws participants from a wide range of clinical backgrounds in acute and primary care. The LSBU course is very positively evaluated by students and commissioners with applicant numbers rising. We now plan to expand our provision to meet the increasing demand.

Posts are offered for a registered healthcare professional who have experience of V300 Independent /Supplementary prescribing in clinical practice. Enthusiasm for teaching and prior experience helping people to learn and develop are just as important.

The NMP module is validated at level 6 and level 7 leading to the Supplementary and Independent Prescribing Qualification. The course is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Health and Care Professions Council and the General Pharmaceutical Council.
