An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the growing Occupational Therapy provision. We are seeking a full time Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to join our occupational therapy team within the Rehabilitation Sciences academic team within the School of Health Sciences. Applicants must be enthusiastic and visionary with previous experience of teaching/lecturing in a higher education environment within the Occupational Therapy field.
As course leader for the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy programme the appointee will undertake course leadership roles and facilitate the teaching, learning and assessment of several modules within the discipline area of Occupational Therapy. Successful applicants will be supported with their continuing professional development via engagement with their own research, and allied knowledge transfer/income generation.
Applicants must be registered as a full member of their relevant Professional and regulatory Body’s (RCOT and HCPC), have a higher degree in a related area of study and experience of contemporary Occupational Therapy practice. The successful candidate will be committed to the success of students and be able to show that they can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas. They will also be a Fellows of HEA/ PgCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education or have evidence if being able to achieve such a designation.
The successful applicant will be able to evidence external esteem through publications/research/practice dissemination. They will have excellent presentation and communication skills and a flexible approach to teaching & learning.
