An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurse (Adult) to join our highly committed pre-registration adult nursing team as a full time Senior Lecturer. Enthusiastic, visionary, and keen to shape nurse education, the successful applicant will assist in the development and delivery of the adult nursing programmes and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will teach across a range of courses and will be required to act as module leader.
Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is required along with a post-graduate level degree (or near completion) in a Health subject and a teaching qualification. A PhD/professional doctorate and a postgraduate advanced practice qualification is desirable.

Extensive, contemporary practice experience is essential, and you will have a keen interest in developments in the field. You will be committed to the success of nursing students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas. Experience in higher education and/or the teaching and assessing of student nurses in practice is required. Utilising interpersonal skills, the successful applicant will have expert/advances practice competence in working with Adult Nursing clients and managing their care.
