An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurse (Adult) to join our highly committed pre-registration adult nursing team as a Senior Lecturer. This is due to the increased number of students starting the course in September 2018. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic and visionary and keen to shape nurse education.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a First level Nurse, have a higher degree or equivalent in a health related subject level and have a teaching/mentorship qualification. A PhD /professional doctorate is desirable.

The successful candidates will have experience of both practice and academic assessment of students and have expert knowledge and understanding of contemporary Adult Nursing practice. They will have a keen interest in developments in the field and be committed to the success of nursing students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas.

Experience of some previous participation in the research and development of projects is essential, as is evidence of advanced practice.
We are would welcome to applications from those with a background or experience in health economics, health informatics, genomics and non-medical prescribing.

The successful applicants will assist in the development and delivery of the adult nursing programmes and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidates will teach across a range of courses and will be may be required to act as module leader.
