Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing (1.0 FTE)

Salary within the range: £40,082 to £47,801 per annum

UCS’ Department of Nursing Studies is expanding its pre-registration provision to meet the increased demand for adult nurses and currently supports around 680 student FTE studying pre and post-registration nursing programmes in Adult, Child Health and Mental Health Nursing.

Having gained taught-degree awarding powers in late 2015 UCS is on the way towards becoming an independent institution and the Department of Nursing Studies has an ambitious vision for the future; to help us achieve it we are seeking a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing to join the team. The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner who is passionate about education, research and their contribution to delivering high quality services.

Contemporary experience of adult nursing, working in partnership with service users and their carers, and teaching students is essential; along with motivation and the ability to innovate to help drive our adult pre-registration curriculum across UCS. Previous experience with a range of academic activities is also required. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as an Adult Nurse is an essential requirement.
