The Oxford Brookes Occupational Therapy programmes are well established and well regarded pre-qualifying professional programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Located in the Health Campus of Oxford Brookes University at Marston Road, Oxford, we have a suite of modern skills lab providing a contemporary and stimulating learning environment for students. Students access clinical placements in a range of NHS facilities, acute hospitals, forensics settings and the community. Placements are also available in non-traditional settings such as horticultural and farm based therapy and with a charity that supports holocaust survivors. Occupational Therapy research takes place through the Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR) and Centre for Movement, Occupation and Rehabilitation Research (MORes).
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a motivated individual to provide successful leadership of our talented OT team and the BSc and Pre-registration Masters Occupational Therapy programmes, focussed on high student achievement and consistently excellent levels of student satisfaction. We are looking for an individual who can lead the programme team in their implementation of the University strategy for enhancing the student experience, including the enrichment of teaching and learning by research. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Head of Department, the Research Lead for the Department, Faculty Associate Deans and students.
For an informal conversation in relation to the above post, please contact Carolyn Mason Head of Department, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Interviews are expected to take place on 2nd September 2020.
The University has adopted equality, diversity and inclusion as core values. We welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates whatever their background, and especially from BAME candidates who are under-represented in our workforce.
