The University of East London is a vibrant and diverse university located in Stratford and Docklands. We are implementing our Vision 2028 strategy to transform our curriculum and partnerships to make a positive difference to student, graduate and community success. Our goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively.

The School of Health, Sport, and Bioscience has invested heavily in the Professional Health Sciences area with a purpose-built clinical education building. We offer a range of opportunities to our students through our links with employers, the NHS, professional bodies and other organisations. We now wish to invest in the Physiotherapy Course and the successful candidate would contribute to the areas of teaching, research, and academic administration. A strong commitment to the enhancement of teaching, student experience and progression is thus required.

You will be expected to contribute to the development and management of modules in the Department, contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level and engage in educational practice to promote effective learning. You will have a leading role in developing and securing future placements. Additionally, you will be expected to undertake research and participate in knowledge exchange.

You will have a degree in Physiotherapy and be a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will have expert knowledge of cardiovascular respiratory physiotherapy and experience and understanding of the physiotherapy placement model. In addition, you will have experience of mentoring/supervising students either academically or clinically.

If you feel you have the experience and skills required for the position, we would love to hear from you.

At UEL, we aim to attract and retain the best possible staff and offer a working environment at the heart of a dynamic region with excellent transport links. You can look forward to a warm, sincere welcome, genuine camaraderie and mobility in an institution led with passion, visibility, and purpose. Your impact, resilience and sense of collegiality will directly contribute to UEL’s future and those of the students whose lives you will touch and change forever.

We also offer a great range of benefits including Teachers pension, family friendly policies and an on-site nursery and gym at our Docklands Campus.
