An enthusiastic individual is sought to join the Institute of Health and Society to play a key role in the delivery and on-going development of the successful Foundation Degree in Paramedic Science.
The 2 year full time programme and 32 week conversion course will provide the student with a qualification enabling them to apply for registration as a paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Responsibilities for the posts will include liaison with sponsoring organisations to arrange placements, oversight of practice placements and recruitment and selection. In addition, the post holder will be expected to play an active role within the Institute, which may include involvement in the delivery of CPD activity across a range of programmes.
All staff are expected to engage in scholarly activity and higher study to enhance their own professional and academic development. Candidates are expected to highlight their areas of practice interests and how they intend to further this through scholarship and research reflecting national agendas, policy initiatives and new CPD curriculum opportunities.
Selection Process: Short-listed candidates invited to interview will be asked to deliver a ten-minute presentation (followed by 5 minutes questions) reflecting one area of practice interest and how you intend to further this through scholarship and research reflecting national agendas, policy initiatives and new CPD curriculum opportunities. The Chair of this group will provide feedback on the presentation to the interview panel.
