Location: Open University office location in Milton Keynes, Belfast, Cardiff or Edinburgh. Frequent travel to Milton Keynes office will be required if based in another location.

Do you want to make a difference to learning disability nursing, education and research? Do you want to be part of a team committed to designing innovative and flexible work-based learning that makes a difference to service delivery and service user and carer experience?

If so, we are looking for someone to join us at this exciting time in the health sector as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Learning Disability Nursing. At the Lecturer level it is expected that you will have studied to Masters level or have equivalent experience. For the Senior Lecturer post you will have a PhD or equivalent. For both post you will need to hold a registered first-level nurse qualification in learning disabilities. You will have a profile of developing academic and professional leadership skills, commensurate with the level of the post you are applying for and a recognised ability to motivate and inspire others. As a learning disability registered nurse, you will demonstrate a passion for nurse education that has the potential to make a difference to enhance the practice of others. We will offer you opportunities to develop skills in supportive opening learning, curriculum development, research and scholarship.

Part-time hours and job share opportunity may be considered for this role. Minimum of 0.5FTE as a job share.
