De Montfort University in Leicester is seeking to appoint an external examiner to support the team for the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (including the running out of the PG Dip in Unscheduled Urgent Primary care programme) at DMU.
The MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme is open to Nurses, Midwives and allied health professionals in both primary and secondary care. It is aligned to the Health Education East Midlands Advanced Practice and DoH curriculum guidelines, and includes the prescribing course for those students eligible to undertake it. It is offered part time over 3-6 years.
If you are interested we would be particularly pleased to receive enquiries from persons with previous experience as external examiners or those looking for their first appointment. Appointees would be required to moderate a sample of scripts relating to each module and report on these to the programme leader. Regular attendance to Assessment Boards and the provision of an annual report to the University would also be expected.
