The Department of Social Work, Education & Community Wellbeing is seeking to recruit an External Examiner (EE) for levels 5&6 of the BA (Hons) Guidance & Counselling programme. The programme aims to equip students with a variety of skills & knowledge needed to analyse & evaluate the effectiveness of different types of guidance & counselling intervention. Students are encouraged to develop their critical faculties to be able to recognize the existence of inequalities & discriminatory practices in education, training & employment, & to consider strategies to influence & bring about change. This programme is a valuable foundation for those who wish to use guidance & counselling strategies as part of a job role in working with young people & adults in health, education or community settings, or as the basis for further postgraduate research or professional training. The degree also meets the qualification requirement for the UK Register of Career Development professionals.

We are seeking a suitably qualified EE with experience in the field of Guidance and/or Counselling or related areas. The EE is required from 1 August 2019 until 31 December 2022. All appointed EEs will receive an appointment letter with area of examining duty & related administrative matters.

Programme information: There are 6 modules each at levels 5&6, details below. The programme also runs at Kaplan Singapore, the EE role would extend to delivery of these modules (there are 2 intakes a year)
