External Examiner – FdSc Paramedic Science

The School of Allied Health and Applied Social Sciences at the University of Worcester is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified External Examiner for the FdSc Paramedic Science programme direct entrant and Technician to paramedic provision. In the first instance this role will be to support the existing external examiner before taking on full responsibility at the end of his contract in 1 years’ time.

The FdSc Paramedic Science programme aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to become a professional Paramedic, registered with the HCPC.

Applications are invited from academic staff with suitable experience and qualifications. The successful applicant must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have substantial experience of working in Paramedic practice and in teaching and/or leading on a BSc (Hons) programme in Paramedic Science. In addition, the role requires external moderation of assessments at L5, attendance at the Boards of Examiners and completion of an Annual Monitoring Report.
The appointment will take immediate effect and will be for a period of four years.
