Birmingham City University are seeking to appoint a Subject External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Nursing course. This programme is based within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences. The position does require the external examiner to have a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council for the Mental Health field of Nursing.
The appointment will commence from September 2018 and the tenure of appointment is for a period of four years. All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University Academic Board.
External Examiners will be able to examine across both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Previous experience as an External Examiner is not necessary as the University is able to provide mentorship to the successful applicants.
We are looking for External Examiners to cover the following programmes/modules:
The BSc (Hons) Nursing programme
Modules
- NUR4062 Nursing Practice 1
- NUR5070 Nursing Practice 2
- NUR5071 Nursing Practice 3
- NUR6050 Nursing Practice 4
Including one post registration module:
- (level 6 and 7) LBR6601 and LBR7586 – Medication Management in Mental Health Services
These are modules that cover the 3 years of the course
