Birmingham City University is seeking to appoint a Subject External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Nursing, Child course. This programme is based within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences. The position does require the external examiner to have a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council for Child Nursing. This will be checked on application and on an annual basis.
The appointment will commence from September 2018 and the tenure of appointment is for a period of four years. All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University Academic Board.
Ideally, External Examiners will be able to examine across both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Previous experience as an External Examiner is not necessary as the University is able to provide mentorship to the successful applicants.
