Health care professionals have been trained at the University for over a hundred years and it is a major centre for education and research in the health sciences field, with its own teaching hospital on-site. The School of Health Sciences provides education and training to people at all stages of their careers in nursing, physiotherapy, orthoptics, radiography, radiotherapy, occupational therapy and health studies.

We wish to appoint a new External Examiner to our Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) programme. This is an adult nursing programme. The term of office will be for four academic years commencing with effect from September 2019 and applications are invited from Lecturers or above who hold registered teacher status with the NMC.

Please note that external examiners are required to engage with assessment of both theory and practice elements of the programme. External Examiners should attend a minimum of one examination board per year and will be invited to meet with students and mentors.
