The School of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work & Social Sciences is one of two Schools at the University of Salford that are involved in the preparation of health and social care professionals, and those wishing to work in the social science disciplines. The School is a centre of teaching and research in the fields of adult nursing, mental health nursing and children and young people’s nursing, with a local, national and international reputation in all areas.
We are looking to appoint external examiners for a 3 year period commencing September 2015. You will have responsibility for the external moderation of theoretical assessments and practice portfolios as well as supporting the relevant module teams with their planned assessment strategy. You would be expected to attend module and programme boards and complete an External Examiner Annual Monitoring Report. An Induction Day will be held in early November for new examiners.
