Pre-Registration BSc (Hons) and MA Nursing Programme
Adult, Children & Young People, and Mental Health Nursing
The University of Salford is seeking to appoint an External Examiner from the field of Children and Young People’s (CYP) Nursing for the above programme with an immediate start.
Working in a team of four, our External Examiners work across different levels of our pre-registration nursing programme pathways: Level 4 Year 1, Level 5 Year 2, Level 6 Year 3 and Level 7 MA two-year pathway.
Suitable candidates will have experience in teaching and examining at a UK HE institution, have a good understanding of quality assurance issues at HE level, including the QAA Quality Code and have specific subject knowledge in the programme(s) being considered. Current registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register is also required. Previous experience as an external examiner is preferred but not essential. The appointment will be until 30 September 2027.

Full details of modules contained within each level of the programme will be provided on request. The curriculum has been developed and approved to meet the NMC’s Future Nurse Standards (NMC, 2018).
