University of Worcester Course Approval:
Postgraduate Award in Professional Development: Independent and Supplementary Prescribing V300

With publication of the NMC (2018) Standards for Prescribing, the University of Worcester will be re-approving the Prescribing programme to align with these NMC Standards and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Competency Framework for all Prescribers.

We are looking for an external advisor to review the final approval documentation and provide a report for the conjoined NMC/University of Worcester approval event on the 4th March 2019. There will be no requirement to attend the approval event. There will be an honorarium of £175.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. The successful applicant must be registered with the NMC, be annotated as a V300, and have relevant subject knowledge and experience of advanced practice and prescribing.

The University specifies that external advisers should have relevant experience of HE teaching at the appropriate level – normally at least 3 years, and normally in capacity as course leader or similar.

In addition, external advisers should not normally have (or have had within the last 5 years) any professional relationship with the University of Worcester (or partner institution if relevant) or with staff involved in the course undergoing approval/review.

All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment. Applications are by submission of CV.
