External Advisor – Course Approval Foundation Degree Nursing Associate & Foundation Degree Nursing Associate (Apprenticeship)

With publication of the new NMC Standards for Education and Training for Nursing Associates and Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates, the University of Worcester will be re-approval the Foundation Degree Nursing Associate and Foundation Degree Nursing Associate (Apprenticeship) programme to align with the new NMC Standards for Nursing Associates.

We are looking for an external panel member to review completed documentation and attend the reapproval event, for which an honorarium of £175 is available.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. The successful applicant must be registered with the NMC and have relevant subject knowledge and experience of Foundation degrees/and or the Trainee Nursing Associate Programme and the apprenticeship framework and standards.

The University specifies that external advisers should have relevant experience of HE teaching at the appropriate level – normally at least 3 years, and normally in capacity as course leader or similar.

In addition, external advisers/panel members should not normally have (or have had within the last 5 years) any professional relationship with the University of Worcester (or partner institution if relevant) or with staff involved in the course undergoing approval/review.
