The School of Nursing and Midwifery are seeking to recruit an NMC Registered Midwife (RM) with a strong research and education profile to join our team. Working closely with the Lead Midwife for Education, the Head of School and Head of Research and other colleagues you work collaboratively to develop our growing portfolio of research and education. We want to recruit a candidate who will contribute to the delivery of our vibrant research enriched midwifery programmes that progress our ambition to prepare highly skilled midwives, and extend the advanced skills of practising midwives, ensuring they are able to deliver a safe, evidence-based compassionate and personalised service that meets the needs of women and their families.

You will contribute at a senior level to teaching, research, and administration. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to academic citizenship, likely to be demonstrated through generous, mutually respectful and supportive working relationships with all staff and students.

Teaching is likely to include: (a) development and leadership of major teaching programmes or equivalent; and (b) enhancement of the student experience or employability.

Research is likely to involve an established national and international reputation through significant original research work and a clear record of impact.

Management and administration is likely to include Departmental/School leadership and management activity with University wide involvement – for example through sustained high value research, knowledge transfer, enterprise, business engagement, and public engagement or similar activities.
