The School of Nursing and Professional Practice is proud to deliver trainee nursing associate and assistant practitioner education in partnership with employers in the region. The discipline of Pre-Qualifying Healthcare are seeking Associate Lecturers who will contribute to the teaching and delivery of our assistant practitioner and nursing associate programmes. The post holders will be expected to participate on an ad-hoc basis in face-to-face teaching in the University or associate sites. Our programmes are delivered at both the Derby and Chesterfield campuses.

This job is open to Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates or Assistant Practitioners. If you are a Registered Nurse or Nursing Associate, you must active unencumbered registration with the NMC on any part of the register. We are also open to applications from other professions as we value the input and contribution from interprofessional colleagues.

Knowledge of apprenticeships, work-based learning and/or Foundation Degrees would be an advantage but is not essential for the role. However, it is essential that the post holders are focused on providing an outstanding student experience, and also understand the requirements of those supporting our learners in the workplace. The post holders will have a strong clinical and educational background and will be innovative and creative in their role and will contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare education. This role would complement your clinical role in practice.
