As the largest School in the University we have a broad provision of health professions related courses across Dietetics, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Operating Department Practice, Paramedic and Physiotherapy all leading to professional registration. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at UG and PG levels. Due to our continued success and growth the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health is looking to appoint a registered nurse who has a passion for practice education, enjoys working collaboratively, is innovative, motivated and can work autonomously to solve problems. The job would entail supporting the practice education component of the curriculum including the implementation of the standards for student supervision and assessment (NMC 2018). They will also be required to focus on building placement capacity to meet workforce requirements.

The individual will work within an established team of academics and need to have a good understanding of the Nursing and Midwifery Councils new standards of practice and quality previous experience of teaching HEI based educational programmes would be highly desirable. The post is at the level of assistant professor (senior lecturer) and is a permanent full time position. Applicants will need to hold current NMC registration. The salary is dependent upon the skills and qualifications of the individual.
