The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health has a broad provision of health professions related courses across Dietetics, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy,Operating Department Practice, Paramedic, Physiotherapy leading to professional registration. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at UG and PG levels including Advanced Clinical Practice and Non-Medical prescribing. Coventry University is placed 13th in the UK University league tables(Guardian 2019) and nursing is 7th in the UK (Guardian 2019).

We are currently seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals to take up number a full time or part time positions across the fields of nursing:

  • Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer in Adult Nursing (full or part time, fixed term and substantive posts). We are particularly interested in individuals who have experience in public health, community nursing or neurological rehabilitation.
  • Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing (full-time fixed term two years).
  • Assistant lecturer/Lecturer in Learning Disability Nursing (full-time fixed term one year)

Applicants will need to possess a Registered Nurse qualification. Previous experience of teaching within a Higher Education Institution is desirable but not essential and your application should detail your area of clinical/teaching experience and expertise. Up to date clinical skills experience would be an advantage.

The University offers academic and professional development and provides a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification for individuals who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will be supported to develop your interests in order to progress your career. Salary is dependent on experience.

£25,735 – £34,531/ £32,557 – £40,002 pro rata, per annum
