We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our ClinPsyD programme team as a course tutor. Due to the national training expansion we have a range of roles on offer and would welcome applications from people interested in working as a research tutor, academic tutor or clinical tutor. A combination of these roles will also be considered. There may also be an option to take on a selection tutor role as part of the post.

You will join a forward thinking and enthusiastic ClinPsyD team to deliver first-class professional training for postgraduate clinical psychology trainees, within a vibrant and supportive training environment. This post provides an opportunity to join the training community here in Hull during an exciting time of growth and expansion within clinical psychology. The successful applicant will be a valued member of the programme team and depending on areas of interest, will have the opportunity to work with the clinical placement, teaching or research teams. You will be involved in the support and supervision of doctoral clinical psychology research projects, teaching, marking of coursework and trainee pastoral support.

The successful applicant will be based in the Department of Psychological Health, Wellbeing and Social Work within the Faculty of Health Sciences. The Faculty embraces interdisciplinary working in delivering high quality teaching and research in Nursing, Social Work, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Dementia, and a wide range of allied health disciplines. The Faculty aims to conduct innovative research in health and social work, and is home to a world leading research hub, the Institute of Clinical and Applied Health Research (ICAHR) and the Centre for Applied Research and Evaluation and Social and Psychological Research into Long Term Conditions (SPARC).

Although advertised at 0.5 WTE, we welcome applications from candidates who are interested in working up to 0.5 WTE or who wish to job share.

The post is advertised as 3 years Fixed-Term; however, it is likely that the post may be extended beyond this period.

The University is introducing an ‘agile’ working policy so, whilst post holders will be required to attend campus for defined activities, there will also be opportunities available for remote working.
