The College of Health and Science draws together a wide range of healthcare disciplines including Nursing, Midwifery, Social Care, Paramedic, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Medicine, Physician Associates and other health and care programmes.
The Senior Technician Clinical Skills and Simulation will work closely with academic staff and associate lecturers in designing, organising and supporting the implementation and evaluation of skills and simulation experiences for a range of clinical and health professions. Working closely with the Skills Technicians and the Skills and Practice Administrator, you will ensure that appropriate equipment and other resources are available to support skills and simulation sessions, workshops and open days, maintaining the equipment and facilities as appropriate. Where needed you will demonstrate and train others in the use of the equipment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Clinical Skills and Simulation Team, with significant growth in the area of health and wellbeing. The University is expanding its facilities, with the development of our new Health and Wellbeing Severn Campus including our newly opened Elizabeth Casson Building and Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Building. We also have a number of new pre-registration courses that started in September 2023 including our Three Counties Medical School Graduate Entry Medicine and BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography.
You will develop (in partnership with academic staff), clinical training scenarios for use across subjects and be active in the developments of the estate, such as supporting the design or updating of new or existing facilities, moreover, you will input your expertise in the procurement and purchase of services and equipment related to clinical skills and simulation.
