Senior Policy Officer (Regulation)

This is a key role in the policy team. The Senior Policy Officer will have the lead on regulation policy for the four countries of the UK. This will involve monitoring, analysing and evaluating policy developments and working with members to provide policy positions and consultation responses. It is a role that will require a strong understanding of the context in which our members work, an outstanding ability to draft policy positions and other written material, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Development and analysis of regulation policy throughout the UK.
  • Supporting and working with members to articulate and develop relevant key policy positions and responses.
  • Represent and work with the Policy Team to ensure that the Council’s policy priorities are well understood by key stakeholders.

Key attributes required:

  • Regulation experience in Policy, Public Affairs, Parliamentary or Membership Organisations.
  • Outstanding drafting and written skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • The salary is £42,000.
  • We offer several benefits including 27 days annual leave and discretionary days over Christmas, flexible working, development opportunities including coaching for the leadership
  • Pension will be with NEST with employer contribution of 10% (no employee contribution).
  • The role is based in London at Woburn House.
  • We continue to work flexibly with a mix of office and home-based working.
  • Extensive travel, when restrictions allow, will be required across the UK and we hold a number of member events that sometimes require an overnight.
