The School of Allied Health offers high quality AHP undergraduate and postgraduate provision and is part of a wider research and scholarship communities across both the Faculty and University. Having gained Society and College of Radiography approval, an exciting opportunity has arisen for one full time position as a Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer (depending upon experience) to lead and direct the two new Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) apprenticeship programmes in the School of Allied Health Professions. The post holder will also contribute to teaching across the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.

Radiography is now an established and growing programme within the School, proudly and consistently recognised as high quality by our graduating students (coming 2nd in the UK for the National Student Survey in both 2020 and 2021), as well as employers. Enjoying excellent facilities, students study in a bespoke Radiography Diagnostic Imaging Suite with state-of-the-art simulation facilities and bespoke digital health hub for image interpretation to support them in their learning.

You will play a part in the development of educational initiatives aligned with the School strategic direction, and will pursue scholarly activities in line with the School focus. You will be an HCPC registered Radiographer with extensive teaching and research or scholarship experience within Higher Education. A Senior Lecturer applicant would have additional experience of leadership within education programmes, academic mentorship of colleagues and experience of providing strategic vision leadership in the development of educational programmes and enterprise.
