About the role
Reporting to the Head of School for Chiropractic, the successful candidate will contribute to and lead on, the delivery of clinical education to chiropractic and other health professions students within the School’s three academic frameworks. Duties will include developing and refining students’ knowledge and skills of conservative therapeutic interventions; orthopaedic, neurologic and general medical diagnostic examinations and musculoskeletal rehabilitation to underpin evidence-based clinical skills development and decision making.

About the person
We seek an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated UK registered health professional with a relevant qualification at Masters level. Their professional qualifications should be within the manual therapy, manipulative or rehabilitation areas of musculoskeletal healthcare. A teaching qualification or fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and relevant academic experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is essential.

The post holder will have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and work in an evidence informed manner with relevant clinical experience. In addition, they will have previous experience supervising research students up to Masters level. The post holder must be able to adapt and meet deadlines throughout the year to meet the demands of Higher Education to maintain an excellent student experience.

The successful candidate will be research active with a history of publications and will continue to produce high quality research in support of the institution’s research strategy. They will be an excellent role model for students and staff alike and support other staff members in their academic development. They must maintain their own development as a regulated healthcare professional and educator and be committed to providing a high-quality experience for students on pre-registration, post-registration and CPD courses within the School’s portfolio.
