The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (HSS) is central to this vision, working closely with practice partners to prepare and develop health care and social work professionals to provide high quality care. This role is based in the Department of Social Science & Social Work and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within BU and with external partners in developing an excellent student experience.

This position is available part-time for 29.6 hours per week or 0.8 FTE.

You will be qualified to Doctorate level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.

You must be registered with the Social Work England and have relevant and recent practice and relevant teaching experience. Ideally you have experience in organising and delivering Continuous Professional Development Opportunities for professionals in Health and Social Care with a focus on leadership and management.

You will facilitate learning mainly across the qualifying social work programmes but there may be some opportunity to engage in the Continuing Professional Development programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to engage with colleagues across the Faculty and University to take forward the research, professional practice and education agenda.
