We are looking to appoint an exceptionally motivated and experienced academic to lead the successful Occupational Therapy at provision at St George’s. The activity is currently focused on pre-registration provision; the BSc Occupational Therapy, now well embedded within the University and excellent student experience; and from September 2023 the MSc in Occupational Therapy. As a Reader in Occupational Therapy you will be expected to focus on leadership of the staff, the provision including the curriculum overview, and development and innovation of the Occupational Therapy provision. It is envisaged that the Occupational Therapy contribution within the post registration education activity will develop and grow in the coming years.

Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • A qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Current registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience of leadership and delivery of education in an academic setting
  • Additional impact in Professional Practice, or Research or Enterprise/knowledge transfer
  • Recognised teaching qualification desirable, but not essential.
