We are seeking to recruit a Professor of Simulation and Clinical Skills with an international reputation as an outstanding academic leader in this field (or an Associate Professor on that career trajectory).
If you are passionate about leading the way in simulation and clinical skills research and education, then this is the role for you! We are seeking an individual with a strong track record of income generation and high-quality research publications. You will join a growing team of highly experienced academics within the School of Health and Social Care. Given the multi-disciplinary nature of this academic field it is expected that you will work collaboratively with academic colleagues across the University and with our external partners to grow our portfolio of research and education work in this field.
The role
We are seeking applications from experienced and highly motivated candidates who have a strong track record in research and education in clinical skills and simulated learning. As a Professor or Associate Professor in this discipline area, you will also be an experienced clinician and/or clinical academic, with a strong interest in simulation and clinical skills education. The post holder will work closely with the Dean and Heads of Subject to lead the multi-professional clinical skills and simulation team; supported by the centre operations manager. You will also take a lead role in informing the facilities expansion plans as they unfold. You will also be expected to liaise with external stakeholders to lead business development, CPD and Knowledge exchange in this area.
This role demands both strong academic leadership, clear vision, and proven ability to forge connections across academic, policy, practice and third sector communities to continually build the reputation of the Theme, School and University. You will be supported in the role to further develop your own academic career in your identified academic pathway (Learning & Teaching, enterprise, research or professional practice) through access to a range of resources available to all University staff and through a coaching approach to personal development.

Salary: Grade 8, £ 65,573- £ 74,735 per annum
