About the Role

Working as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you will assist the Head of Department to maintain, enhance and improve the Department and Faculties national and international reputation in Gerontology. Demonstrating your continued academic attainment and achievement, you will contribute to your discipline and the life and work of the faculty.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 therefore the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About the Department

The Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health is one of five departments within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. We provide high quality, research-rich education using a variety of innovative teaching and learning methods including a state-of-the-art clinical skills centre. The post holder will provide expertise to further enhance research leadership and entrepreneurial activities. This will include undertaking individual and collaborative research that demonstrates impact and involvement in external activities which will include academic enterprise.

You must possess excellent knowledge of the subject area. Active registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), other relevant professional registration/membership would be beneficial, but is not essential. The post holder must have a doctoral qualification or equivalent.
