FdSc Assistant Practitioner / L5 Apprenticeship

The University of Worcester is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for FdSc Assistant Practitioner programme. This is with effect from September 2024.

Ideally interested applicants should have experience of external examining in at least one other Higher Education Institution but this is not compulsory.

The role requires external moderation of assessments, attendance at the Boards of Examiners and completion of an Annual External Examiners Report. Applicants are advised that the University applies the following criteria to external examiners:

The area of expertise of External Examiners is within the area of assessment undertaken.

Applicants should have recently been employed (or currently employed) within a university appointment.

Applicants must not have been a University of Worcester Examiner or employee within the last five years.

Applicants will have a relevant qualification, hold current registration with the HCPC or the NMC, and a commitment to interprofessional education.

The tenure of appointment is for four years. All external examiner appointments are subject to approval by the Director of the Academic Quality Unit at the University.
