About the role

This is a new and exciting role that will be integral to the current clinical services provision, and the vision for expansion of services into a brand-new rehabilitation space that will open in the summer. The role will require the individual to lead a range of services for patients focusing on the MSK rehabilitation and FCP services. This is a split role, of rehabilitation, FCP and clinical leadership. This role will need to have a view to growing services for student provision and experience and within the commercial sector as well as leading an NHS contract for FCP. Ensuring a person-centred approach is vital whilst contributing to the health and well-being agenda and being flexible to meet demands of cross site-working and some extension of hours to meet primary care needs expected. Opportunities to contribute to the academic teaching and research side of the organisation will be encouraged. This role will come with the opportunity to complete FCP training within the organisation, fully supported through a PG Cert in FCP that AECC has been awarded to provide.

About the person

We are looking for an enthusiastic specialist physiotherapist with a minimum of 5 years post registration experience, 3 of which are musculoskeletal. Ideally having experience of leading a team this individual will need to be able to work independently and within a progressive team of health care professionals. This is a leadership role, newly approved and one that can be shaped to the needs to the patient cohort, students and local health systems. The individual will also need to be comfortable with having students working within them and to be able to support their learning and practice. Person-centred rehabilitation is a central requirement to the role, and we are looking for someone who can demonstrate those principles.
