We are seeking to recruit an experienced graduate children’s nurse to join our proactive and motivated team, teaching and researching within a Department which delivers nursing, midwifery and other health related programmes. You will be joining us at an exciting time of team and programme expansion and growing student numbers.

You will be expected to contribute to, and as appropriate, lead on the provision and development of a range of outstanding undergraduate, postgraduate child health nursing and health related programmes, including where appropriate, the supervision of doctoral students. You will also be involved in the delivery and development of simulation-based skills and education delivery. Your role will also provide support to students, practice supervisors and practice assessors within clinical practice areas.

With a commitment to facilitating student centred learning and innovative approaches to child nursing, you should have knowledge of a broad range of contemporary child nursing practice, relating to the care of children and families in all healthcare settings. You will also engage in the enhancement of the student experience through use and development, of innovative and effective teaching and facilitation methods and utilisation of research in programme delivery.

You will hold a Masters Degree in a relevant subject area, have current registration with the NMC and be a member of the Health Education Academy (HEA) or will be required to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment. You must also be prepared to register and study towards a doctorate, if you do not already hold one, within 12 months of your appointment.

The School is busy and successful with a growing portfolio of courses and students, and you will be joining a friendly and supportive team with opportunities for career development within the School and wider University.
