Are you interested in teaching the next generation of physiotherapists, working at the number one University in Greater Manchester for student experience?

Here at the University of Bolton, we are proud of our growing reputation as a student focussed University. With our strategy of “Teaching Intensive, Research Informed” we are committed to offering our students the best experience possible. Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and they pride themselves on being outstanding professionals that provide excellent learning, teaching and applied research and support in the provision of custom-designed, industry led courses in numerous subject areas.

The School of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences has a strong reputation and expertise in developing Physiotherapists within the North-West, and we are currently seeking to recruit an additional academic to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will have a first degree in Physiotherapy with Chartered CSP membership and HCPC registration. Ideally, you will hold a teaching qualification and HEA membership. However, we are really keen to hear from you if you are a current practising clinician who is keen to use your medical insight and experience to teach the next generation of professionals. As you would expect, we are absolutely committed to teaching excellence and therefore we will provide comprehensive support to help you make the transition to academia. We will work with you to agree a personal development plan (including a formal teaching qualification) and enable your success in this exciting new role.

The role is full-time but we would welcome applications from candidates wishing to work more flexibly, e.g. fractional / part-time hours.

Should you wish to have an informal discussion about the role, please contact Simon Booth in HR on s.booth@bolton.ac.uk or 01204 903 503.
