About You

We are seeking to appoint a number of appropriately qualified and registered nurses who can demonstrate significant recent practice experience, underpinned by a sound working knowledge of nursing theory and experience of working with student nurses on placement to join our faculty as a lecturer/senior lecturer.

You will be an enthusiastic, innovative, and engaging professional with significant practice experience, able to deliver high quality and innovative support in relation to practice learning to academic staff/partner agencies/students, and work across disciplinary and organizational boundaries with ease. The successful post holder will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator and an innovative professional. Time and workload management skills are a key requirement for this post and having a strong commitment to the success of students and effective engagement with our stakeholders will be key to your success in a dynamic and evolving department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be qualified and experienced as referred to above, with appropriate and relevant professional body registration, along with significant and demonstrable experience in working with students whilst in practice. The successful candidate(s) will play a significant role in the delivery of the nursing curriculum in all its manifestations and be a key member of the team, having a particular focus on practice learning/practice education, both in terms of internal and external practice learning/education requirements. For senior posts (grade 9 and 10), applicants will be expected to have relevant and recent experience in a practice-based role involving significant elements of student support/practice learning.
