We have an opportunity for a Lecturer to make a significant contribution to leadership, management and provision of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to the recruitment and supervision of PGR students, as well as supporting our joint programme in Singapore. You will also be expected to make a substantial input to the achievement of the School and College objectives, in relation to excellence in learning, teaching and student experience and to the strategic development of scholarship within the School. This post will normally be based at the Gilmorehill Campus in Glasgow, although travel to Singapore for teaching may be needed, for up to 4 weeks at a time and usually no more than once per year.
The Nursing & Health Care School at the University of Glasgow is consistently ranked as one of the top Schools in the UK for nursing education. At undergraduate level, we offer an Honours Degree in Nursing (4 years) and our highly valued graduates have excellent employment prospects. A strong science component, integrated with evidence-informed nursing practice and a range of practice learning experiences, ensures our graduates are competent and safe practitioners of nursing, able to deliver high quality care. The School also offers a flexible programme of multi-professional postgraduate courses that may be taken individually or used towards a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters degree. We also have a thriving community of postgraduate research students, from both the United Kingdom and overseas and offer a BSc with Honours in Nursing jointly with the Singapore Institute of Technology.
Applications are invited from candidates who are registered with the NMC as an Adult Nurse and who also have a good first degree and/or relevant Master’s degree.
