AC3 £44,706 – £50,296 per annum
Full time: 35 hours per week

The School of Health and Life Sciences is a multidisciplinary School, with a diverse range of programmes delivered at our Ayr, Dumfries, Lanarkshire, London and Paisley campuses to a combined total of around 6000 students.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Midwifery to join the School, where teaching and research are at the heart of all of the School’s activities. The ability to contribute to module and programme development will be integral to this post, along with engagement in wider academic activities such as research, consultancy and CPD. Undertaking research, development and/ or scholarship to enhance teaching will be encouraged.

As the successful candidate, you will join a progressive academic team currently supporting delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery and maternity care provisions within the Division of Midwifery & Specialist Nursing. You will have previous experience of delivering modules/programmes related to the field of midwifery, and be practised in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment methods. NMC professional registration in midwifery is required.

The successful candidate will be based in the new ‘state of the art’ Lanarkshire campus which creates a truly innovative, dynamic and collaborative environment for our programmes. The campus hosts inspiring, and flexible learning and teaching spaces packed with rich technology to offer staff and students access to some of the modern university facilities in the UK. The midwifery team has well established links with a range of clinical areas providing practice placement experiences for our students.
