Lecturer Physiotherapy in the Division of Dietetics, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Radiography

Hours: 14 hours per week (0.4FTE)
Salary: Grade 8: £42,978 – £54,395 per annum (with possible progression to £61,198)

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key contributor within the School of Health Sciences at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, providing a high quality, exceptional and transformative educational experience to students in an innovative and high-tech learning environment. You will be a driving force in growing our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of Physiotherapy. In addition, where relevant, there are opportunities to contribute to programmes across the Division, School and wider University.

The School, with its breadth of professional programmes, delivers Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health as well as Therapeutic and Diagnostic Radiography, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapies, Speech and Hearing Science, Nursing and Paramedic Science. As such is in a unique position to develop opportunities for multi-professional and interdisciplinary learning and teaching and research.

To apply for this role, you must be registered or eligible for registration with the HCPC (evidenced in your application) as a physiotherapist. You must have a qualifying first degree, or equivalent, in physiotherapy, have a post registration, postgraduate degree relevant to the area of physiotherapy. Experience of working as a physiotherapist demonstrating a knowledge of contemporary cardiorespiratory practice and/or have expert knowledge in the field of cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. Also it is essential. to have recent experience of undertaking student assessment and facilitating learning and teaching in physiotherapy / healthcare practice or a Higher Education context
