The School of Health and Life Sciences is one of the largest integrated schools combining health and life science programmes. Our graduates make an immense contribution to improving the health and wellbeing of communities across the globe.
This post will be based in our new Lanarkshire Campus within the Division of Biological Sciences and Health supporting the highly attractive Paramedic Science programme and contributing to learning, teaching and research across the school. Flexibility to travel to other campuses as required is desirable.
As an experienced health professional, you will hold a professional registration and relevant masters qualification. A PhD in a health-related area (or be working towards this) and a postgraduate qualification in education/teaching and learning, and/or HEA fellowship are desirable.
As a Lecturer you would be expected to provide strong and effective teaching and evidence-based research in Paramedic Science. Applicants should be able to teach into a range of areas across Paramedic Science. Working with health and science colleagues to strengthen inter-disciplinary learning across the school.
The post holder will contribute to the organisation of practice opportunities and support students in a practice setting. Experience of simulated practice is desirable. Contribution to the development of research and commercialisation is expected. An active contribution to the global agenda of the school is also expected, with globalisation of the curriculum and international collaboration being key areas for development
