Background
The Department of Health Services Research and Management (HSRM) based within our School of Health & Psychological Sciences, brings together a multidisciplinary range of expertise to deliver excellence in teaching and research. The department’s national and global research activities span public health, health psychology, health management, innovation and change, and food and health policy through a One Health lens.

Responsibilities
The postholder will make a significant contribution to the School’s educational activities, in line with the Education and Student Strategy, ensuring education is of high-quality, professionally relevant and informed by research, scholarship and pedagogy. The postholder will also develop / lead individual and collaborative research, including generating research income, in line with the University’s Research Strategy and contribute to the leadership of research activities to build the achievements and profile of the School and University.

Person Specification
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Lecturer in Health Services Research who has academic and teaching experience in NHS and/or industry research and can lead on, and develop, our Clinical Research MRes programme and other MSc provision. The postholder is expected to have an outstanding reputation in any specialist area relevant to health services research, proven ability to deliver engaging in-person and online lectures and tutorials, and experience of working in collaborative research projects (for research and education profile only). This post is fixed term for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
