This post represents an exciting opportunity to join the newly developed Paramedic Science team, in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences’ School of Medicine.
You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the University’s teaching and scholarship in Paramedicine, Emergency or Urgent Care. You will undertake module leadership as part of the MSci in Paramedic Science programme and undertake teaching and administrative duties efficiently and effectively within the guidelines operated by the School. You will contribute to the ongoing development of paramedic curriculum at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and be an active member of the Paramedic Science Team. You will support other programmes in the School, developing new, and maintaining current relationships in the Faculty and the wider University, and with Partners and External Stakeholders.
You will develop regionally, nationally, and internationally recognised scholarship activity. Initially the role will be structured to enable development of scholarship activity within the educational role. Over time, there is an expectation that scholarship activity will develop and expand, aligning to and complementing existing areas of higher education scholarship within the School.
You will have completed, or working towards, a post-graduate qualification in a health/education related programme (e.g. Paramedic/Nursing/Advanced Clinical Practice/ Health or Social Policy/Science or Education) and have current registration with your profession regulator (HCPC, GMC or NMC) with a clear record to practice . You will have experience of teaching on health-related programmes.
