The School of Health Sciences is multiprofessional in composition and situated in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility. You will contribute to the delivery and development of our portfolio of courses and actively engage in research/consultancy activities.
The School team includes professionals from a wide diversity of allied health and sport disciplines providing a wealth of inter-professional education and research opportunities. The radiography team has strong links with clinical service providers across Scotland, providing a network for collaborative working.
The School of Health Sciences specialist radiography resources include a digital imaging X-Ray suite with wireless DR, an electronic image archive database and a state-of-the-art clinical skills and simulation centre.
The ideal applicant will be a diagnostic radiographer with a current clinical perspective, evidence of personal and professional development and experience of supporting radiography students in the clinical environment.
Staff in the School of Health Sciences contribute to research in the following priority areas:
(i) Professional/clinical practice, (ii) Human performance, (iii) Education; Incorporating research on professional, patient, and public education as well as teaching and learning research. Research in all three priority areas contributes to the overarching aim of enhancing wellbeing, with physical activity a common thread that the School is actively pursuing. The School has close links with the faculty-wide cross-disciplinary practice research group and the Scottish Centre for Evidence-based, Multiprofessional Practice: a Collaborating Centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute, as well as a range of national and international collaborations with academic institutions.
