UWE Bristol, School of Health and Social Wellbeing, is seeking a Field External Examiner. The post will be for 4 years commencing on 1 September 2025.
Essential: Applicants must be registered with the Social Work England.
The subject cluster requires a Field External Examiner to represent a range of academic perspectives in the Field of Health Community and Policy Studies and the portfolio will cover some of the following modules:
• Developing Decision-Making on Protection and Risk in Social Work Practice
• Engaging with Young People, Children and Families
• Evidencing Work Based Learning
• Independent Study
• Law for Social Work Practice
• Mental Health, Society and Social Work
• Readiness for Professional Social Work Practice
• Relationship Based Social Work
• Rethinking Social Justice: Social Policy and Inequalities
• Social Work and the Life Course
• Social Work Placement 1
• Theories to Inform Intervention in Social Work
• Theory and Research for Social Work Practice
Please note, your final portfolio may require you to cover modules beyond this specific professional area.
