The Role
The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including; nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Advanced Clinical Practice, Independent prescribing and Global Healthcare Management.
Recently, our approach to Service User and Carer engagement received commendation from Health Education England (HEE) as a model of excellence. The post holder will ensure the highest quality student experience, adherence to best practices, and securing approvals from regulatory bodies like HCPC, SWE, and NMC hinge on the active involvement of individuals with lived experiences (service users) with our courses. We are looking for a colleague to lead our service user and carer provision, to pioneer an innovative approach, and most importantly, to collaborate closely with our diverse group of service users in a truly co-productive manner. Our goal is to enhance the student journey and overall student experience.
Our Successful Candidate
Our successful candidate will be a health and social care professional, with knowledge of the HE landscape and the challenges facing service user and carer engagement within this sector, with proven experience of developing collaborative relationships with service users and carers. With experience of undertaking and completing successful projects related to health and social care, candidates need to be able to demonstrate a special interest in service user and carer engagement and have a thorough understanding of the range of health and social care professional programmes and standards related to service user and carer engagement.
