BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and MSc Physiotherapy
We are seeking two External Examiners for our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and MSc Physiotherapy programmes.
The Physiotherapy programmes at the University of Southampton provide a high-quality undergraduate experience for students leading to professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
External Examiners are typically appointed for a period of four years. Principle duties normally include:
- Visit the University at the least once a year to moderate assessed coursework and examination scripts, attend Board of Examiners meeting (may be virtual)
- Produce an Annual Report
- Review and approve examination papers that contribute to a student’s final award, and any other assessment material as agreed
This post will be with effect from 1 October 2021.
Applicants should hold appropriate academic qualifications; preferably have previous experience of acting in the role as an External Examiner and have a background in a range of health or health-related research methods. Fees and Expenses are payable in line with the University’s External Examiners policy.
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accept applications from the University of Cardiff.
