We are seeking three replacement external examiners for the Post Registration Health programme which includes the BSc (Hons) Clinical Practice, Graduate Certificate Clinical Practice and Post Graduate Certificate Clinical Practice degrees. The University of Brighton offers extensive support for external examiners and holds workshops annually. Further support is also provided by the course leads and the Acute Care Subject Lead. The University normally expects external examiners to attend a minimum of one examination board per year.
Applicants are advised that the University applies the following criteria to external examiners:
- The area of expertise of external examiners is within the area of examinations undertaken;
- Applicants should have recently been employed (or are still employed) within a university appointment;
- He/she must not have been a University of Brighton examiner within the last five years;
- He/she will ideally have a qualification registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and internal and external examining experience
One External Examiner is required for:
Intensive Care modules (Level 6/7), Respiratory Care (Level 6/7), Acute Kidney Injury module (Level 6/7)
One External Examiner is required for:
Neonatal Care modules (Level 6/7), Child Physical Assessment module (Level 6/7), Work Based Learning (Level 6/7), End of Life Care modules (Level 6/7)
One External Examiner is required for:
Emergency Care modules (Level 6/7), Physical Assessment of Adults, Care of the Acutely Ill Adult (Level 6/7)
